sequin flower sewing

To stitch these cute little flowers that bring infinite bling and sparkle to any of your every day clothes or your party clothes, you just need to gather your favourite Sequins, some small seed beads and some polyester sewing thread – choose thread in the same color as the sequins for it to be inconspicuous or contrasting color for some drama.

Choose a needle that will pass comfortably through the sequins holes.

Method 1 -Super easy sequin flower

First, draw a 2″ diameter circle as a guideline.

Take one strands of thread, thread the needle and make a large knot.

Bring the thread out from the back on the circle. Pick up one sequin from the back and then a seed bead with the needle.

Take up one sequins and a bead on the needle

Insert the needle back on the edge of the sequin. This will anchor your first sequin in place.

insert needle at the edge of the sequins

Bring the needle out a little away (half of the sequin size) from the first sequin on the radius of the circle itself. Pick one more sequin and bead. Anchor this.

Repeat the steps again and again till rest of the sequins fill the whole circle and you have a flower shape.

After attaching the sequins, insert the thread to the back and Wrap the thread around the back of the sequins twice to anchor the stitches.

To attach some seed bead in the center, bring the thread out on the front a little off the center point. Attach two or three small beads, insert the thread on the back and anchor it there with more stitches.
